Sinceress

This poem was shared with me. I didn’t write it.

But, I wanted to share it because sometimes we hit a real bad point in our lives, where we find ourselves out of our depths in how to deal with the situation.

Very quickly darkness, pain, fear, loss of hope and poor self-image to name a few, can become engrained.

There doesn’t seem away forward!

So I wanted to leave the message that you are not alone. You don’t have to fight this on your own or worse yet give up!

My friend sent me this poem as a reminder when I’m down to re-read it. And to hold on to the knowledge I have a friend and the lord to guide me.

Whatever your beliefs maybe...whether one turns to religion, loved ones or friends, it’s ok to lean on another when we hurt. There is no shame in seeking help, it doesn’t make you weak!

Instead, it’s a stepping stone, a support mechanism to help you rise above the storm. Overcome your emotional pain. Ignite the candle within that has dulled. Leaving behind a new added strength. Happiness.

Remember you are NOT alone!

Pain knocked upon my door and said
That she had come to stay;
And though I would not welcome her
But bade her go away, She entered in.

Like my own shade
She followed after me,
And from her stabbing, stinging sword
No moment was I free.

And then one day another knocked
Most gently at my door.
I cried, “No, Pain is living here,
There is no room for more”.

And then I heard His tender voice,
” ‘Tis I, be not afraid”.
And from the day He entered in –
The difference it made!

For though He did not bid her leave,
(My strange, unwelcome guest)
He taught me how to live with her.
Oh, I had never guessed

That we could dwell so sweetly here,
My Lord and Pain and I,
Within this fragile house of clay
While years slip slowly by!

That was a very nice poem that was shared with you Sinceress
and I'm glad you decided to share it here.

Nobody has to be alone; all it takes is opening a door
when you find yourself presneted with a new one or
even one you may not have taken notice of that has been
right in front of you.
